Our olfactory walk will take you through a living history of native grapes and plants, revealing the scents and sounds that have shaped Tuscany for centuries. From ancient natural pharmacies to modern organic and regenerative teaching gardens, you will experience the essence of Tuscany like never before.
After the walk, our sommelier will introduce you to the native fragrances of Tuscany, beautifully captured in both glass and plate.

In Florence Giardino dei Semplici first, before tasting the native grapes, we will learn about the scents that guard them in a very unique way. We will learn how the multi versatility of the essence, the monasteries in this were treasure chests of natural Pharmacies and noses (see Catherine de Medici exported the perfume to France ) all came into being. We stroll In the company of our private sommelier in the “Giardino dei Semplici,” founded by Cosimo I de Medici, the third botanical garden in the world by institution after those of Pisa and Padua. Species can be grouped into collections based on their present and past use; examples are the collections of food, medicinal, textile and dye plants.
Medicinal Plants call to mind the origin of the “Giardino dei Semplici”, a place where physicians and apothecaries could devote themselves to the knowledge, study and recognition from life of medicinal plants, from which so-called “simple medicaments” could be extracted. In the modern Botanical Garden, the collection invites reflection on the fundamental role that plants continue to play in human health: true molecule workshops. Of great interest is the plant collection, which includes both wild plants of food interest and vegetables grown within teaching gardens created according to principles of organic-regenerative agriculture.
