The Smellwalks come to life through the rediscovery of Giambattista d'Este, the Franciscan Duke, reinterpreting history through the power of fragrances. This project is a kind of circular economy of memory, where the past regenerates in the present through scents that reveal forgotten traditions.
Romina, a descendant of the Marovelli family, has woven this research with her roots. The Marovellis, "tailors of food" for three generations, recall the craftsmanship practiced in convents, where every gesture was a care for details and a celebration of savoir-faire. In the family’s workshops, flavors and fragrances are shaped like a tailor working with fabric, reinterpreting ancient culinary and artisanal traditions.
Each scent tells a story of discovery and innovation, revealing the magical process behind product creation. Through the Smellwalks, these ancient practices are regenerated and transformed into a unique, contemporary sensory experience, where each fragrance becomes a journey through history.
