Smellwalks itineraries 

Between South Tyrol and Tuscany, a historical investigation evolves into a unique sensory journey. The Smellwalks, olfactory walks, reveal invisible traces and awaken lost stories, transforming every step into a rediscovery where past and present intertwine in an endless cycle.

Through six stages, visitors are guided on an olfactory journey, exploring 19 essences sourced from the region, collected in an Olfactory Library. Walking through the streets of the historic center, participants will experience events that celebrate olfactory culture.

In the context of the Smellwalks, the nose and the sommelier play complementary but distinct roles. The sommelier, with his skill in tasting and describing wine aromas, transforms each scent into a rich sensory experience. Similarly, the nose—an expert in fragrances—analyzes and unveils the essences that guide participants on the olfactory journey, revealing stories and traditions through each scent.

Together, these professionals enrich the Smellwalks, creating an experience that engages all the senses and connects people through the art of perception. Both work to transform the sensory experience into something tangible and memorable, enriching daily life and celebrating the hidden beauty of each aroma.
